The Commission is recruiting for a Senior Legal Adviser to contribute to the work of Legal and Dispute Resolution Branch in providing legal advice, undertaking legal research, developing resources, participating in legal forums and overseeing the Commission’s intervention and investigation functions. The branch also provides a best practice dispute resolution service, resolving complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, vilification and victimisation through conciliation.
The Senior Legal Advisor will provide high-quality legal and policy services to the Commission. The role requires excellent legal analysis, policy and writing skills, and an ability to develop productive working relationships across government. Litigation and/or investigatory skills would be an advantage. The role reports to the Legal Manager.
