We Stand Together - a Law Week event

On 14 May 2018, the Commission participated in a free community information session to discuss how we could take action against racism in the broad community.

 Guest speakers spoke about:

  • What is the law on racism, racial discrimination, and racially motivated crime?
  • How can you report racism, racial discrimination and racially motivated crime?
  • What services can help?

The event was organised by Carringbush Adult Education, City of Yarra, cohealth, Fitzroy Legal Service, MiCare, Neighbourhood Justice Centre, Victoria Police, and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.

This community partnership project has been funded by a grant from the Victoria Law Foundation.
