Disability Disclosure Forum

On the 30 November, 2005 the Equal Opportunity Commission Victoria presented a public forum to discuss the issues relating to disclosure of a disability in employment. Play by the Rules

Play by the Rules is an interactive web-based resource designed to help schools, sporting associations and clubs ensure that sport is safe and free from discrimination and harassment. The on-line training courses are specifically designed for athletes, administrators, coaches and umpires. These courses are free and can be completed in your own time. Those who complete the courses receive an official certificate.

Recruiting for a Fair Go

From 2002 to 2004, the Equal Opportunity Commission Victoria conducted an enquiry into the recruitment industry's awareness and understanding of equal opportunity legislation and principles.

The enquiry has also been used to develop best practice guidelines for the recruitment industry. The guidelines aim to assist both recruitment professionals and employers to not only understand and apply equal opportunity legislation, but to encourage them to go beyond the minimum requirements of the legislation and ensure the highest standards of anti-discriminatory practices are met.
