Calling for members of Victoria’s diverse community

The Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission is seeking expressions of interest to join its Disability Reference Group.
The Commission is seeking nominations from:
- People with a direct experience of disability (up to 10 positions)
- Parents of children with a disability (up to 3 positions)
- People who have a link to a service provider (up to 3 people)
Membership of the Disability Reference Group is for two years with reimbursement provided for travel and support services necessary to enable participation and for accommodation costs where the member resides more than 50km outside the Melbourne Metropolitan area.
Proposed meeting dates are 3rd Tuesday in February, May, August and November. Meetings start at noon with complimentary light lunch, refreshments and networking. Informative expert presentations are organised where necessary.
People who represent Victoria’s diverse community are encouraged to apply including people with disabilities, young people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Indigenous Australians, rural and regional Victorians, and members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) community.
