Step 6 of 6 - Taking your complaint to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
The Discrimination List of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) deals with matters that have come before the Commission. For example:
- a complainant may refer a declined complaint to VCAT
- a respondent may apply to VCAT to strike out the complaint on the grounds that it is frivolous, vexatious, misconceived or lacking in substance.
- a complainant may refer an unresolved complaint to the VCAT as a last resort
