Demographic Transition: Addressing the economic and social impacts of an ageing population: Is there a silver lining? 13 November 2014

The United Nations Association of Australia (Victorian Division) presents this seminar as part of the Sustainability Leadership Series.

 

The seminar seeks to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with an ageing society. Notably, it will ask how is the Australian government, corporate and civil society addressing the impacts of our ageing population on workforce participation and productivity, financial and welfare systems (including hte pension) and the provision of aged care and other social services.

Speakers will also consider the issue of age discrimination, particularly in the workplace, and how to change business attitudes towards older people.
