More than 40 years ago women won the right to equal pay for equal work. In 2014, on average, women earnt 17.1 per cent less than men.
(For up-to-date gender pay gap figures, visit the Workplace Gender Equality Agency.)
When we first launched this campaign in Victoria in 2004, that figure was 15 per cent. Which means we're not getting closer to equal pay, we're going backwards.
Don't let this be the future for our children.
