The research and consultations conducted for this report indicate that discrimination is a significant issue for many community members from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and impacts on their full participation and contribution to the Victorian community. The project was a collaboration between the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and the Victorian Multicultural Commission.

Rights of passage: two years on - Oct 2010

This 2010 progress report examines developments against the recommendations of the original Rights of passage report and the extent to which they have been progressed over the past two years.

This report examines the experience of young Australian-African people in the City of Greater Dandenong. It aims to provide insight into the systemic issues impacting upon this group from the unique perspective of the young people themselves. In doing so, the report provides a snapshot of a local community at a time where specific and difficult issues were being encountered.
