Human Rights Arts and Film Festival now in full swing
14/11/2008
A large and appreciative crowd enjoyed the opening night of the second Human Rights Arts & Film Festival in Melbourne last night.
Speaking about the importance of participation by the community and audiences in creating a culture of human rights, festival patron, Bryony Nainby, noted the artistic trend towards interpersonal activity and social exchange.
The festival brings together film, images, art and ideas to confront disturb and inspire us to take our place in the human rights campaign.
Feel of the power of collective action, awe at the incredible difference that one person can make, spend a moment in someone else’s shoes.
The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission is a proud supporter the 2008 Human Rights Arts & Film Festival.
